Akron Police are investigating a couple of weekend incidents in which shots were fired into homes.
Around 9pm Sunday night, officers responded to shots fired in the 1200 block of Bittaker Street. The victim reported that two men, in a gold GMC truck fired shots into the house. No injuries were reported. The shooting appears to be domestic related.
Officers signed warrants on the suspects for Improper Discharging a Firearm into a Habitation. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Justin D. Horton, 18, of Minson Way in Akron, and Mason P. Wells, 18, of Forrest Street in Akron.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Justin Horton or Mason Wells is asked to contact the Akron Police Department, Detective Bureau.
Around midnight Friday night, a resident in the 800 block of East Wilbeth Road reported an unknown suspect fired shots into her apartment. The windows and siding were shot and a bullet lodged in the victim’s seven year old daughter’s bedroom wall. No one was injured and no suspects have been identified.
