An Akron pizza delivery driver was robbed for the second time this week.

Police say the delivery driver for Papa John’s Pizza on East Market Street was robbed in the 300 block of Kline Avenue early Thursday morning around 12:30 a.m.

The driver told officers that he had made the delivery and was walking back to his car when the suspects approached him. Police say one suspect pulled out a gun and demanded the driver’s money and car. The suspects fled in the victim's 2001 Honda Civic. The driver returned back to the restaurant and called police. Police say the driver was not injured.

The driver’s car was recovered in the 700 block of Moon Street. The Papa John’s delivery sign was found in the street at Adolph Street and North Forge Street.

Only a vague description of the suspects has been released.

On Tuesday, the victim was robbed while delivering food to a home in the 700 block of Alicia Walk just before 2 a.m.
