An overturned tractor trailer caused authorities to close a portion of I-76 east in Wadsworth Thursday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and local authorities closed the eastbound lanes of I-76 between state Route 94 and state Route 261 shortly before 8 a.m.

I-76 east reopened to traffic around 9:30 a.m., but authorities will close the eastbound lanes of I-76 once again between SR 94 and SR 261 at 10 p.m. as crews clean up and remove the tractor trailer.

The detour route for drivers is I-76 east to State Route 94, to State Route 261, then to I-76 east.

The interstate is expected to reopen by 6:00 a.m. Friday, August 17.

No injuries were reported in the accident.
