UPDATE Electric Problems Closes County's Tallmadge Ave. Building

Summit County officials will have the County's offices at 1030 East Tallmadge Avenue open for business Wednesday after electrical problems shuttered local government for the day.

UPDATE 3:50 p.m. Summit County - news release

The Job Center and all County of Summit government offices located at 1030 E. Tallmadge Avenue in Akron will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, August 10, 2011. The facility was closed on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 due to a power outage.

The building houses a number of county offices including the Jobs Center, the Department of Jobs and Family Services, the Title Bureau and the Department of Building standards.

All appointments at the County Building at 1030 East Tallmadge Avenue for today have been cancelled.

County Officials hope to re-open the building on Wednesday.
