With temperatures forecasted in the 90's and a projected heat index of more than 100 today and Saturday, you can bet that public and private pools and other swimming holes will be popular.

Tammy Halverson is counting on it.  She's the general manager of Lake Kim Tam Park in Uniontown and says a packed house this weekend will cap a period of more than a week that's been busier than normal.

"I expect it to be unbelievably busy," said Halverson.  "We're getting ready.  We're stocked.  We're ready to go."

Close to 500 people came in and out of the decades-old park on Wednesday and Halverson expects the numbers to be similar today and Saturday.

"Season pass holders will be here and moms that need to just hang in the water with their kids and cool off, they'll all be here," said Halverson.

Halverson says they've been coming from as far away as Medina, Aurora and New Philadelphia, but she thinks one of the reasons is that Kim Tam still features a high dive - something that's not longer seen very often.
