(NOACA) An Air Quality Advisory for ozone and fine particles has been issued for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties. The advisory will be effective on Tuesday & Wednesday, June 19-20, 2012. Air quality levels will be 'unhealthy for sensitive groups' during this period.
If you are in the 'Sensitive Groups' category of children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties, please monitor your outdoor activity and check live map of air quality readings.
Pollutants accumulated due to stable atmospheric conditions will result in ozone formation and cause hazy atmospheric conditions in the presence of abundant sunlight and moisture respectively. Hot and humid conditions are expected on Tuesday & Wednesday. Please limit your outdoor activity and drink plenty of water.
