The Portage County Commissioners this afternoon unanimously endorsed a site on East Main Street in Kent as the new location for the County's municipal courthouse.
The Record Courier reports the site is currently occupied by a sub shop and a parking lot. The site is the former location of the Kent Motor Inn, which was razed in 2009.
Commissioner Tommie Jo Marsillio made the motion in favor of the East Main Street site, after initially opposing it because of its estimated cost.
