Summit County Executive Russ Pry will deliver his state of the county address Friday at the John S. Knight Center.
It's no surprise that the state of the county's economy will be much of the focus. Pry says some aspects of county finances are looking up.
"There's no question that finances at the local government level will continue to be the hot topic for this year and probably for next year," said Pry.
He says sales tax revenue and employment numbers are on the rise.
"We're still seeing commercial building permits on the upswing, so that is a very positive sign that people are investing in Summit County," said Pry.
