Akron Home Invasion Suspect Appears In Court

A suspect in a 2011 Akron home invasion appeared in court Thursday morning to face a list of charges.

Micahel A. Hollis Jr., 20, of Akron, entered a not guilty plea during his arraginment at Akron Municipal Court. Hollis Jr.'s bond was set at $100,000.

He's charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary, among other charges in connection with the Sept. 9 incident where he and a victim suffered gunshot wounds.

Akron Police say Hollis Jr. and two other suspects were armed and forced their way into a home in the 300 block of Madison Avenue, then held a victim at gunpoint while working their way through the house in search for money.

A hearing is scheduled for March 16.
