Police in Medina County were on a roundup, but it turns out the object of their attempts to corral their target may have been resting comfortably all long.
UPDATED 12:35p The horse's owners confirm the animal is the missing horse.
Sheriff's deputies asked for the public's help after a horse broke from a Remsen's Corners barn Tuesday night. The animal was been spotted in Granger Township; authorities were worried the horse might wander on to Interstate 271 as well as other public highways and pose a danger to itself as well as motorists.
The animal is a chestnut gelding (a male horse that's been castrated) similar to the photo above. Family members of the horse's owner says they got a call late this morning that a horse bearing a similar description was taken in by a homeowner on Wilbur Road, and was in the man's barn. They're checking to see if it's the same runaway.
