An Akron man will spend 18 years behind bars for shooting at a S.W.A.T. team during a drug raid.
Daniel Hayes, 32, got five years on each of three counts of felonious assault, plus three years on a firearm specification.
Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Amy Corrigall Jones ordered Hayes to serve sentences on drug and weapons charges concurrent to the other terms.
Hayes was in the bedroom of an 18 year old girl when a S.W.A.T. team burst in nearly 18 months ago. He fired at officers, then threw a gun out the window.
