A woman wanted by Portage County authorities on firearms theft charges has been tracked out of state, and will head back to Ohio.

The Portage County sheriff's department says 22 year-old Heather Leventry was tracked to Shreveport, Louisiana after a previous press release detailed third-degree charges of theft of firearms.

Local law enforcers also learned that Leventry was heading to Louisiana with her 19 month old child.

Mother and child were found at a Shreveport motel, where Leventry was arrested without incident. The child is in protective custody.

The Portage County Sheriff's Department says Leventry will be extradited back to Portage County after court proceedings in Louisiana.
