One young man's Facebook page has landed him in serious trouble.
The Portage County Sheriff's Office arrested a 17-year old boy after concerns arose from his alleged threatening Facebook postings and a profile picture of him holding an assault rifle according to authorites and the Crestwood School Administration.
Shortly thereafter an investigation was underway and weapons were recovered. The teen is now facing charges including aggravated menacing and telecommunications harrasment among others.
The boy, who attends Crestwood High School in Mantua was taken into custody without incident Tuesday and is currently being held at the Portage/ Geauga Juvenile Detention Facility.

Portage County Sheriff David W. Doak announced today the arrest of a 17 year old juvenile male who is a student at Crestwood High School in the Village of Mantua. Crestwood School Administration notified the Portage County Sheriffs Office this morning when they became aware and concerned about Facebook postings by this student and that the student had a profile picture showing him holding an assault rifle. With the assistance of the Mantua Village Police Department and the Portage County Prosecutors Office an investigation was conducted. During the investigation weapons were taken into custody. As a result of this investigation, this juvenile has been charged with the following:
Two (2) Counts of Inducing Panic / Both are 1st degree misdemeanors.
One Count of Aggravated Menacing / 1st degree misdemeanor.
One Count of Telecommunications Harassment / 1st degree misdemeanor.
The juvenile was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Portage/ Geauga Juvenile Detention Facility.
