A Youngstown man could be facing life in prison after being convicted of robbing over 40 businesses between 2001-09, including 5 in Akron.

Isiah Taylor III could be spending the rest of his life behind bars following his conviction Friday on conspiracy and firearm charges according to the U.S Attorney's office.

Taylor was accused of more than 40 robberies in Ohio and Pennsylvania in an eight-year window.

Police say Taylor had a role in the robberies of Akron businesses such a Linens and Things, the Goodyear Auto Center, Tropic Glow Tanning, Mama Rosa's Pizza, and the now-defunct Wing House on Tallmadge Ave, where he conducted detailed surviellance and monitored police scanners during the robberies.
