Akron Police are seeking a suspect in the early Sunday morning shooting of a 15-year old boy.

The victim tells police he was  walking on Wildwood Avenue near Copley Road around 1am when he saw a man wearing a mask, armed with a shotgun. The victim took off running when the suspect fired a shot, striking the boy in the back.

The victim called his mother to come pick him up and take him to the hospital. He was later taken to Akron General Medical Center where his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
