A fire broke out at the Akron City Composting Facility Tuesday evening.
The Akron Fire Department reports that they were dispatched to K-B Compost Services at 2677 Riverview Road around 6 p.m. and found heavy smoke and fire coming for one side of the building.
Firefighters were on the scene for around two hours putting out the blaze.
The building valued at $4 million had damages estimated at around $900,000.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is still unknown .
