It can be difficult to put a face on some of the actions - or lack of action - in the nation's capital, but it's not hard at all for some Summit County residents.
7,512 people in Summit County who receive unemployment benefits will see that income vanish completely by Memorial Day unless lawmakers decide that an extension is in order.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services provided the data.
They aren't alone as tens of thousands of others across the state are also relying on unemployment benefits as their source of income for up to five more months: 5,944 in Stark County; 2,346 in Medina County; 2,412 in Portage County and 1,183 in Wayne County.
