A 43-year old Akron woman is facing aggravated vehicular homicide charges after a passenger in her SUV died folowing a traffic crash last week.
Marie A. Lott, 43, of Bulger Street in Akron, was also charged with vehicular manslaughter and OVI. On September 17th, Lott was driving a Ford Expedition while allegedly under the influence of alcohol, and under a driver license suspension. Lott lost control , ran off the left side of the road,and struck a wooden utility pole snapping it in half. The front seat passenger, Dwayne Hammond, 49, was seriously injured and died the next day at Akron City Hospital.
