A shooting at a busy Fairlawn intersection has police investigating at this hour.
Police say it happened at the intersection of Ridgewood and Miller on Monday afternoon.
Witness Philip Smith says that he was driving north off of I-77 at Miller Road, by the Circle K at that intersection.
"On the other side, on Miller, going the other direction, a young man got out of a car, it looked like about two cars down," Smith tells AkronNewsNow.com. "It looked like he was pretty good with a pistol, too...he held it up, it was about a .38."
Smith says he heard shots ring out.
"And it sounded like three shots came off. I didn't see exactly if it hit anyone, I'm not sure it did, but what's what I saw," Smith says. "He was wearing a black cap, looks like a white shirt and black pants."
He says he thinks the shooter got away, and heard Fairlawn and other police departments respond before he left the area.
There's no word on any capture of the shooter, or search.
Fairlawn police have only confirmed the street location of the shooting, and say they're in the process of photographing the scene.
