It's another year to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings and Haven of Rest is ready to cook up the special meal for hundreds.
Spokeswoman Rose Rose says they served around 700 people for Thanksgiving last year,
"We are preparing for about 800 people. That doesn't mean that if we have over 800, they'll be hungry because we're always ready for more than expected," Rose said.
Rose says this year, those who attend the first meal on Thanksgiving will be given a toiletry package to take home.
Haven of Rest is always looking for donations, even after Thanksgiving.
"We can always use those frozen turkey's. What we may not use for Thanksgiving and Christmas, we will definitely be using because that is a good basic staple to have," Rose said.
Dinner will be served twice at Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E. Market Street, at 11:00 a.m. and 6 p.m.
