It's been seven years of waiting, but now a grocery store for Highland Square is about to become a reality. Ground was broken Friday afternoon on West Market Street for the new store to be operated by the owners of the Mustard Seed market, Philip and Margaret Nabors.
The new grocery store will be a two-story, 23,000 square-foot building, with a second floor terrace and restaurant, and is expected to be completed by Fall, 2014.
The original Mustard Seed Market was first opened in April of 1981, on North Portage Path, in the Merriman Valley. Currently, there are two other Mustard Seed Market grocery stores in Northeast Ohio, both owned by Nabors. One is located in Montrose, the other in Solon. The stores are known for their fresh, whole natural foods.
