A jury found a Northfield Village man guilty of three counts surrounding the rape of a babysitter.
Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh said 28-year-old John M. Muzic brought the teenage babysitter over from a neighbor's house to see his dogs. Once she was there, he dragged her into his bedroom and threatened to kill her before he raped her. Investigators found Muzic's DNA on the girl.
Muzic was convicted of rape, kidnapping, and gross sexual imposition. His sentencing is set for September 6.
