The Cuyahoga Falls school district and its teachers union have reached labor peace.
In a joint statement Tuesday afternoon, the Falls Board of Education and the Cuyahoga Falls Education Association announced a tentative agreement.
Details won't be disclosed until both sides ratify the agreement.
The CFEA will vote on the pact on September 13th, and the Board of Education will follow shortly after that.
(News release - Cuyahoga Falls City Schools) In a joint announcement today, the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools District Board of Education (BOE) and Cuyahoga Falls Education Association (CFEA) negotiation teams announced they have reached a tentative agreement.
Details regarding the settlement will not be disclosed until both parties ratify the agreement. Both negotiation teams have recommended ratification.
“We are pleased to share this news with our community,” said Kellie Patterson, BOE president. “We want to thank the federal mediator and the negotiation teams for their efforts. I want to point out that these were cordial, respectful and smooth negotiations—a true demonstration of teamwork and compromise showing we are all in this together.”
The CFEA will vote to ratify the agreement on September 13, 2013. The BOE will meet shortly thereafter.
