A 14 year old Akron boy lead police on a short high speed chase Friday morning.
It ended on South Hawkins Avenue with the child upsidedown in the vehicle he was driving.
Akron Police pulled the vehicle over at South Hawkins and Diagonal Road around 3:30 a.m. for a traffic violation, according to News Channel 5.
As officers approached the car, the boy sped north, hitting speeds above 60 mph.
Attempting to turn right onto Thurston Street, the boy flipped the car onto it's roof, landing in a yard.
Police realized it was only a 14 year old driving when they pulled him from the flipped car.
The boy was taken to the hospital but officers say he appeared uninjured.
The car was not reported stolen and police believe it belonged to a family member.
