Free help to get Summit County kids ready for school...that's one of the big goals of the 4th Annual "Summit For Kids", which takes place Saturday at the John S. Knight Center.
Last year, over 15-thousand parents and children got free school supplies, dental care, physicals and immunization.
Summit County Juvenile Court Judge Linda Tucci Teodosio syas that there are also lot of fun things for parents and kids to do together.
"For me, it's really refreshing to walk in there and see families together, really enjoying the entertainment, working on craft projects together," Judge Teodosio tells WAKR's Ray Horner, "it really is a family building activity for kids to come with their parents."
Judge Teodosio says one good effect of "Summit For Kids" is that kids and parents working together helps keep children out of the court system.
She says parents will get support to help their children as well.
