Extras Still Needed For Local Derby Movie
 7/31/2010 10:55:47 AM  |  25 Hill News Release

Those who wish to be extras in "25 Hill," Corbin Bernsen's soap box derby movie, now have another, unexpected chance to make their Hollywood debut.

On Sunday, August 1, the film crew is returning to Derby Downs in Akron to shoot climactic race scenes that were held up because of last Sunday's weather. The film needs thousands of extras to fill the stands as derby families and fans. Those who were at Derby Downs last weekend are welcome; so are new participants.

Extras are asked to email treycaldwell25hill@gmail.com for important details about the shoot. However, those who simply show up that morning likely will not be turned away.

Extras should arrive by 8:00 a.m. and expect to stay all day. They should dress as if they are watching a summer Derby championship and bring food, drink and something to help keep the kids entertained between shots, if desired. They should prepare as they would to attend any all-day amateur sporting event.

Extras will receive tickets for a raffle to be held at the end of the day, about 5:00 p.m. They must be present to win. Prizes include signed scripts and a diamond Open Heart necklace from Kay Jewelers. Smaller prizes will be handed out during the day.
