VIDEO Green Gets AGMC Donation

Green is getting more help building a new park from one of the city's business partners.

Akron General Medical Center officials surprised attendees at the hospital's Green medical campus groundbreaking with a large donation to the Green Veterans Memorial Park.

While the AGMC donation may be the biggest, some other large checks have come in, according to Green Communications Coordinator Valerie Wolford:

DRB Systems - $12,000
Park Auto Group - $10,000
Toth Buick - $10,000
Lockheed Martin - $10,000
Splash N Dash Car Wash - $7,500

The check from AGMC puts the total at $152,000 in donations. Wolford says they need to reach $200,000 to complete Phase 1 of the park, which is scheduled to be dedicated on Veterans Day.
