Akron fire officials responded to the scene shortly after 10 a.m. when a neighbor called 911 to report smoke coming out of the structure.

The fire sparked in a second-floor kitchen, but investigators aren't sure what caused it.

Damages have been estimated at $15,000.  The flames had been contained to the second floor.

All three victims were treated and released at the scene.  The extent of their injuries was not reported.

Several Akron fire units worked to extinguish the blaze.
