Akron Man Arrested In Drug Bust

Police arrested an Akron man in connection with a drug bust after nearly a month long investigation.

Detectives from Akron Police Narcotics Unit arrested 31 year old Christopher Lavar Franklin of Mercer Avenue in Akron.
 
Franklin was arrested during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Grant Street, after he threw drugs out of the car window. Franklin had his one-year-old son in the car at the time of his arrest.

Franklin had 24 grams of Crack Cocaine, 10 grams of powdered Cocaine, 3 grams of Marijuana and over $800.00 in cash.

Franklin was charged with various drug charges. He was booked into the Summit County Jail. Franklin's one-year-old son was placed in the custody of the Summit County Children's Service Board.
