Stow Post Office Rename Moving Forward 11/7/2009 10:19:41 AM | Mike Ward, AkronNewsNow.com Stow's post office is one step closer to being officially named for an Iraq war marine. advertisement The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the bill naming the post office after Marine Cpl. Joseph Tomci, a Stow native killed by a roadside bomb while serving in Iraq, was passed by the U.S. House on Friday. Bainbridge Republican congressman Steve LaTourette sponsored the bill, which must still be passed by the Senate and signed into law by President Obama. LaTourette says it's "a fitting way to honor a proud Marine who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country." He says Cpl. Tomci's funeral ceremonies were attended by a crowd of thousands of people. --
