Gas Prices Tumble 12 Cents 7/20/2009 6:20:27 AM | Associated Press A recent slide at Ohio gas pumps has taken prices down 35 cents a gallon in the last month. advertisement Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express shows prices fell another 12 cents in the past week to a statewide average $2.32 per gallon for regular-grade gasoline. A month ago, Ohio motorists paid an average $2.67 for regular. Last year at this time, the average was $3.94. The cost of gasoline has eased amid a retreat in oil prices from an eight-month high of $73.23 on June 30. Investors have been concerned about weak demand for crude. Rising inventories of oil products, such as gasoline, have suggested the recession has kept some U.S. drivers from hitting the road this summer. --- On the Net:
