Ohio Gasoline Up 17 Cents From Last Week
 6/1/2009 6:59:21 AM  |  Associated Press

Oil prices have been surging to new highs for this year, and so have gasoline prices in Ohio.

The statewide average for regular jumped 17 cents in the last week to about $2.62 a gallon, according to auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express.

Ohio pump prices are up nearly 60 cents from just one month ago, when regular was averaging $2.05 per gallon around the state.

Still, Ohio motorists are paying much less than they were last year at this time, when the average was $3.97.

Prices for oil have almost doubled from below $35 a barrel in March as investors have taken heart from signs that the severe recession in the U.S. is slowing.

DRILL HERE... DRILL NOW!

More domestic oil.
More domestic jobs.
Less money going outside our borders.

Our not drilling for oil probably contributes to about 90% of our economic problems in this country. Never will understand what we are saving the multi trillions of barrels for.

It's all the summer blend. That's the blend where they mix our dollars and our tears and then charge us more for it! Didn't ANN just run a story about how Ohio is paying much more for gas than all the other states. Seems like Ohio is one of the worst places to live in the country at the moment, terrible in forclosures, terrible job market, terrible gas prices...

Summer blends don't raise prices significantly. Please don't excuse their actions. They don't need an excuse. It' mostly about greed and this is what got us in our current mess. You will love the new GM replacement for Oldsmobile, it' a 3 wheel OBAMAMOBILE.
