NewsGas Prices Up Again

Rising oil prices have helped to push Ohio gas prices up 4 cents in the last week, back above the $2 mark.

A survey from AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express shows the statewide average for a gallon of regular is now about $2.01, up from $1.97 last Monday.
Gas remains much cheaper than it was a year ago, when Ohioans paid an average $3.29 for regular.
Oil prices rose above $52 a barrel last week on hopes that the U.S. economy will recover in the second half of this year. Energy traders will be tracking a slew of quarterly corporate results this week for signs that the worst of the downturn is over.
Oil prices have rallied from below $35 a barrel in February, mirroring a jump on stock markets.
