Ohio Gas Prices Fall 8 Cents 4/6/2009 6:40:37 AM | Associated Press Ohio gasoline prices have dropped 8 cents in the last week and are back below the $2 level at pumps across the state. advertisement Ohio's average price for regular is now about $1.97 per gallon, down from $2.05 last Monday, according to a survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. A year ago, Ohioans were paying $3.24 for a gallon of regular-grade gas.
Prices have been a little erratic in recent weeks while energy markets look for any signs that the economy is recovering and will boost demand for fuel. Traders have been encouraged by the turnaround on Wall Street but also concerned about rising U.S. unemployment. On the Net:
