Gas Prices Up 12 Cents
 3/23/2009 7:09:02 AM  |  Associated Press

Rising oil prices have helped to push Ohio gasoline prices up by 12 cents in the last week.

The state's average price for regular is now about $1.96 per gallon, compared to $1.84 last Monday, according to AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express.

Prices remain much lower than a year ago, when Ohioans paid an average $3.22 for regular-grade gas.

Analysts at AAA say gasoline prices have been relatively stable, making only slight moves week to week. The increase since last week comes as crude oil prices topped $50 per barrel for the first time this year on hopes that moves by the Federal Reserve could help the U.S. and global economies recover.

The government could stop this in less than a day. Just let Barak Husein Obama tax them at a 95% rate for excessive profits. That way Anonomous would be right on in his thinking. That's what they will do cigarettes soon. I predict $9.00 to $11.00 a pack within two years.
