Gas Prices Climb 9 Cents 3/9/2009 8:33:22 AM | Associated Press Ohio gasoline prices have risen 9 cents since early last week after remaining fairly steady for about a month. advertisement A survey from AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express shows Monday's statewide average for regular is $1.95 per gallon, up from $1.86 a week ago. One month ago, regular was averaging $1.83 at Ohio pumps. Analysts at AAA say it's almost impossible to forecast where gas prices will go because the turmoil on Wall Street and within the U.S. banking industry have led to chaotic trading on energy markets. The cost for oil has been zigzagging above and below $40 per barrel. Ohio gas prices remain far below the levels of a year ago, when the state's motorists were paying an average of $3.21 for regular. I read an article about how much surplus we have right now, they have tankers sitting full out at sea and our on land storage area's are full. So why are the gas prices going up? Hmm..... Okay Obama time to sqaush the big oil people, how about Bush first! Never like that man. posted at 3/9/2009 12:46:20 PM (6160) angel9952 said: Up again, down again...this morning I saw gas at several stations for $1.85 after it being at $1.99 over the weekend. The supply and demand did not change that dramatically overnight! If you wish to leave a comment, please log in or register. |
