Gas Prices Shoot Up 25 Cents
 1/5/2009 7:34:12 AM  |  Ryan Haidet

Ohio gasoline prices have jumped 25 cents in the last week as OPEC production cutbacks sent oil prices rising.

A survey from AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express shows a gallon of regular is now averaging about $1.82 in Ohio, up from $1.57 last Monday.

Gas costs 15 cents more in Ohio than the national average of $1.67. But the state's fuel prices are still considerably lower than a year ago, when regular averaged $3.17 in Ohio.

After dropping below $40 last month, oil prices are climbing toward $50 per barrel on evidence that OPEC is adhering to production cuts of more than 4 million barrels per day, as announced in the last few months.

Let me tell you just how much s$%^. it is. If you live in Cuyahoga Falls , yesterday regular gas was $1.69-$1.79. If you lived in Ellet area, Gilchrist Road regular gas was $ 1.44-$ 1.46. I've been watching Cuyahoga Falls vs. Ellet area and Cuyahoga Falls has been giving us the royal shaft for quit a long while. Please lets start observing and Boycott some of these stations. Its all about gouging the troops. We need a good gas war.
