AUDIO What Was It Like In Lucasville On Tuesday? 10/15/2008 8:01:11 AM | Joe Jastrzemski What was it like to witness the execution of Richard Cooey yesterday at Lucasville? Chris Keppler had a unique perspective on Tuesday, being one of three media witnesses chosen to view the execution. advertisement Chris described the wide range of emotions felt by members of the victim's families, attorneys, other witnesses and by Richard Cooey. While it was the first execution he attended, Keppler admitted to 'being nervous' when the witnesses, officials and members of the victim's families crowded into the small room. The witnesses separated from Cooey and the prison staff by only a wall and a pane of glass.
Keppler said "emotions inside the room changed" when Cooey walked into the room and lay down on the gurney. He added, "there was very little movement or noise" by everyone inside the witness room while the execution process unfolded. Once the execution was completed, Keppler said he was glad to leave the witness room. Content © AkronNewsNow.com. All rights reserved.

I understand he was vulgar and hatefilled right to the end. No remorse. What kind of person is that? One who has some redeeming social values? I think not. A monster, yes.
