NewsAUDIO Group Opposing Cooey's Execution To Hold Vigil

The Cleveland Coalition Against the Death Penalty will be sponsoring a few events in light of Richard Cooey's planned execution.

At 7 p.m. Monday, a community prayer vigil against the execution -- and in memory of Dawn McCreery and Wendy Offredo -- will be held at the Church of the Resurrection at 32001 Cannon Road in Solon.
Coalition Spokesperson Richard Greenbaum explained the evening protest will call on lawmakers to spare Cooey's life.
LISTEN to Greenbaum Explain What The Coalition Will ProtestAt midnight, the group will leave for Lucasville to join the morning protest outside of the prison where Cooey will be executed at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
A local silent witness will be demonstrating at the Old Stone Church in Cleveland's Public Square on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
