Spencer Platt/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) -- Jobless claims continued to fall last week, dropping by 27,000, according to the latest figures released Thursday by the Labor Department.
For the week ending Feb. 9, the number of people filing for benefits tumbled to 341,000.  The previous week, claims stood at 368,000.
The four-week average, meanwhile, ticked up slightly, increasing by 1,500 to 352,500.
