Hemera/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- The Dow Jones industrial average topped 14,000 points on Friday for the first time since October 2007.
The numbers retreated a bit Friday morning but the market is only about 100 points shy of the all-time high.

Earlier Friday, the government reported that the economy created 157,000 jobs last month, slightly lower than economists were expecting. The unemployment rate ticked up a bit to 7.9 percent.
