A driver of a stolen car who police say crashed into a another vehicle and sideswiped a Metro bus, sent 13 people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
The Beacon Journal reports the driver tried to pass another car before hitting the bus near the intersection of South Arlington Street and Second Avenue around 2:40 p.m.
Police are now searching for the driver of the car after they say he fled the crash scene.
Police said 13 people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

A woman has been pronounced dead after shooting herself in the head in Kent Sunday afternoon.
Kent police said the woman was pronounced dead Monday morning.
Authorities said the woman shot several shots at a home in the 1000 block of Vine Street before turning the gun on herself around 3:45 p.m.
The woman allegedly had a relationship with a resident inside the home.
No one else was injured in the shooting.

Alliance police are looking for a shoplifting suspect who they say walked out of a Walmart with a TV and computer.
Police said the man was caught on a camera shoplifting a 32-inch television set and a desktop computer around 1:30 a.m. on April 18th.

A family of six has been left homeless after a possible arson fire cut through their home in Akron Monday night.
Fire officials said the blaze started on the back porch of the house in the 2300 block of 12th Street around 9 p.m.
The family was able to escape the home with no injuries. The American Red Cross is helping the two adults and four children with shelter.
The blaze caused an estimated $44,000 in damages to the home and its contents.
A suspect linked to the possible arson was taken into custody. No further information on the suspect has been released.
The fire remains under investigation.
Kent police are investigating a shooting where a woman allegedly fired several shots at a home before turning the gun on herself.
Police responded to the shooting around 3:45 Sunday afternoon in the 1000 block of Vine Street.
Officers found a woman outside of the home with a gunshot wound to the head.
The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment. Her condition has not been released.
Police are unsure if the woman was targeting a specific person in the home.
No one else was injured in the shooting.
A Monday morning fire destroyed a vacant home in Akron.
The Akron Fire Department found the house fully engulfed in flames around 6:30 a.m in the 1300 block of Harpster Avenue.
Fire officials determined the house was a total loss valued at $30,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
School officials have closed an elementary school in Tallmadge today after a possible case of meningitis was reported.
Dunbar Elementary School will be closed today after school officials say a student went home sick with a possible case of meningitis.
As a precaution, crews will be cleaning the building today.
Superintendent Jeff Ferguson said school is scheduled to resume tomorrow.
Police have made an arrest in the shooting that killed a 19-year-old woman in Akron.
Demarco D. Wright, 18, of Canton was arrested shortly after the shooting and has been charged with murder and felonious assault.
Wright allegedly shot Precious Love, 19, of Alliance early Sunday morning in a house on Carlysle Street off Cuyahoga Falls Avenue in Akron.
She was transported to Akron City Hospital where she later died. The Summit County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy today.
Love's best friend tells NewsChannel 5 that it was a tragic mistake. She says Love's boyfriend was playing with what everyone thought was an unloaded gun, when it went off when he pulled the trigger and struck Love in the chest.
The homicide remains under investigation.
Wright has been booked into the Summit County Jail.
His arraignment hearing is scheduled for today at Akron Municipal Court at 9:00 a.m.

An undercover sting and a two-week drug trafficking investigation led to the arrests of two men Thursday.
The Portage County Drug Task Force and the Garrettsville Police Department were investigating trafficking of heroin and cocaine in the area.
Authorities say Christopher L. Bly, 33, of Garrettsville, was arrested after he was caught selling crack cocaine to an undercover agent.
Agents also arrested Charles W. Stephenson, 40, of Akron, for selling crack cocaine and oxycodone in Streetsboro and Kent.

Stephenson was caught with outstanding warrants while driving under a suspended license. He was charged with trafficking cocaine and oxycodone.
Summit County Children Services is facing charges of violating bargaining laws when the agency negotiated a contract with the union representing case workers and other employees.
The Beacon Journal reports Local #4546 of the Communications Workers of America filed unfair labor practice complaints when the agency froze longevity bonuses earlier this year.
A new three-year contract was approved this month, but the head of the union said they are moving forward with the hearing because they do not want to see the same issue come up again in the future.
Before the hearing scheduled by the the State Employment Relations Board on May 16, the agency and the union will attempt to settle their differences through mediation.
