Two people have been charged in connection with prostitution and drug charges out of Portage County.
The Beacon Journal reports 35-year old Lisa Carneal and 59-year old Richard Roberts were arrested by members of the Portage County Drug Task Force Thursday in Paris Township.
Authorities say Carneal moved from Akron and was charged with soliciting and possession of heroin. Task force members learned she allegedly solicited herself on the internet in the Newton Falls, Ravenna, and Youngstown area and conducted a sting operation.
Roberts is facing charges of promoting prostitution and permitting drug abuse.

A 37-year-old Akron woman is facing prostitution charges after police say she forced her daughter to engage in sexual conduct for money.
Police arrested Jacqueline Toro-Williams of Akron and charged her with compelling prostitution and promoting prostitution.
According to the Akron Police Department, the young girl was between 11 and 12 years old at the time.
Police said the activity went on for at least a year.
Authorities recently caught up with the girl several years after she ran away from home.
