29th day of 2013 with 336 day remaining
Funny Predictions on SB-XLVII Day. We already mentioned the uncanny preseason commercial for VISA matching the Niners and the Ravens. Now Madden NFL 13 Super Bowl Prediction Powered by Xbox 360 has hit the target seven out of nine times. the EA Sports game also predicted a Ravens 27-24. We can only hope the big guy is wrong.
This Day in Music
1961, Bob Dylan achieved his dream of meeting his idol Woody Guthrie when Guthrie was on weekend release from hospital where he was being treated for Huntington's Chorea.
1964, The Beatles spent the day at Pathe Marconi Studios in Paris, France, The Beatles' only studio recording session for EMI held outside the UK. They recorded new vocals for ‘She Loves You’, ‘I Want to Hold Your Hand’ and ‘Can't Buy Me Love’, after EMI's West German branch persuaded Brian Epstein that they would be unable to sell large quantities of records in Germany unless they were recorded in the German language.
1967, Jimi Hendrix and The Who appeared at The Saville Theatre, London, England. 20 year-old future Queen guitarist Brian May was in the audience.

This and That
So there's a funeral and someone is hungry. So why not pull into the drive. The only problem is it was the guy in the box who wanted to have it his way. In honor of the deceased, the rest of the procession went through as well. Get the whole wacky story here.
Time for Ice Cream
30 Rock ends Thursday (January 31). Naturally Ben & Jerry's has used the sad occasion (for some of us) as inspiration for their next ice cream flavor. The details of the flavor will be released by co-founder Jerry Greenfield at a New York City finale party steps away from Rockefeller Center. Let me guess, What're We Farmers Fudge?
Speaking of Tina, "I am going to London in March to film the next Muppets movie. . .and I'm hopefully shooting a movie called Mail Order Groom this summer with Steve Carell," said Fey, who played Carell's wife in 2010's Date Night. "My partner Robert Carlock and I have a new overall deal with NBC to eventually -- over the next couple of years -- develop another television show. That's sort of what's going on."
Another Reason I'm Glad I Don't Drink
Guy Fieri, a celebrity chef known for his rowdy personality, spiky hair and love of roadside diners, is adding winemaking! The great annoying one has bought a five-acre vineyard of pinot noir grapes. His first vintage, 2012, was to Jackson Family Wines for its La Crema brand. I hear it comes with its own paper bage with grease stains.

Big Screen Stuff
The Lovely and VERY talented Jennifer Lawrence appeared to have ripped an expensive gown while making her way the another big night of awards. Turns out she did no such thing. The dress is in layers and showing a little thigh was part of the design, according to Christian Dior the dressmaker. Still, nice touch, no Ann Hathaway, mind you, but nice.
And Then There's This
LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and The Miami Heat superstars also got a congratulatory handshake from a living, breathing Barack Obama for winning the NBA Championship ... which also must have been exciting ... right?
