  • Aaron Coleman Aaron Coleman

    Aaron has been working with RCRG since August of 2008 covering various news and sporting events. He graduated in 2003 from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron. He then went onto the University of Akron in May of 2008 with a degree in Radio/TV & Media Productions and a minor in Psychology. It was at WZIP & ZTV where Aaron developed a passion for radio especially Sports Radio. While attending the University of Akron you could hear Aaron on Sundays doing the "Sports Power Talk" program. Aaron covers City Hall, County Council and Akron School Board beats and handles traffic updates weekday afternoons on 1590 WAKR, 97.5 WONE and 94.9 WQMX.     Amani Abraham is the morning web editor and also tracks morning drive traffic for 1590 WAKR, 97.5 WONE and 94.9 WQMX during weekday mornings and is a reporter/anchor. She's no stranger to AkronNewsNow.com, having worked as an intern with Rubber City Radio Group as a producer for the Daily Vodcast and other video projects.. Amani is a 2011 graduate with a Communications degree from the University of Akron, where she excelled in her work on the student radio station WZIP-FM and Z-TV, the University's television program.   • Chris Keppler Chris Keppler

    Chris is the regular news anchor on WQMX's Wynn and Wilson in the Morning and WONE's Tim and Christi in the Morning programs. He first opened a microphone at WZIP-FM at The University of Akron in 1990 but got his first paid radio job delivering weekend news on WZKL-FM & WDPN-AM in Alliance. Chris then moved to WJER AM & FM in Dover where he reported on Tuscarawas County, including stories that made national headlines. Chris has been honored by his peers with first place awards from the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters including Best Reporter, Best Feature Story, and Best Broadcast Writing among others. In addition to his work as a broadcast journalist Chris has also worked in public relations and as an instructor at the University of Akron teaching Broadcast News Writing. Chris enjoys volunteer work, and has served on the boards of the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters, Public Relations Society of America (Akron Area Chapter), American Cancer Society Hope Gala Committee and currently serves on the Green Baseball/Softball Federation Board.   • Edward L. Esposito Edward L. Esposito

    Edward "Ed" Esposito is vice-president, information media for the Rubber City Radio Group. He oversees news and public affairs programs for www.AkronNewsNow.com, 1590 WAKR, 97.5 WONE and 94.9 WQMX. He is Secretary-Treasurer of the Radio Television Digital News Foundation; a former chair of the Radio Television Digital News Association and Foundation and a former president of the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters Association. He's also served as a member of the Akron Press Club , Kent State University Student Media Advisory Board, Ohio Open Government Coalition, Northeast Ohio AMBER Task Force. He's lectured on broadcasting and journalism for the University of Missouri in China, as well as across the country for RTDNA and RTDNF.   • Jeff Kinzbach Jeff Kinzbach

    Jeff Kinzbach is a life-long resident of Northeast Ohio. He spent over 20 years on Cleveland’s WMMS radio, was the voice of WOIO-TV and appeared on many of their programs.  He has produced several albums, authored a book and has helped countless charities. Jeff was a major force in getting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame located in Cleveland.  In 2002 he received the Cleveland Area Broadcasters “Excellence in Broadcasting” award and in 2004 he was inducted into the Radio Television Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Jeff, his wife Patti (a native Akronite) & their daughter live in the Akron area.   • Larry States Larry States

    Larry States has been a news anchor and reporter for 36 years at radio stations in Akron and Canton, including the last 26 at 1590 WAKR. States served as News Director of WAKR for 14 years. Larry also served as news director of the former WAKR TV 23 in Akron. Larry was inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame in Akron in 2004. He is currently a member of the Summit County Emergency Management Committee. An Akron native, Larry is a 1970 graduate of Hower High School and a 1975 graduate of the University of Akron.   • Mike Ward Mike Ward

    Mike Ward has been a radio news reporter and anchor for over 20 years, for a variety of stations in Ohio, Virginia, and California. For seven years, he was a news reporter and anchor for Sacramento's top-rated news/talk station, KFBK, and was also news director for WFIR in Roanoke, Virginia.  He's also been heard on Cleveland stations. Mike has a special interest in technology, and was a regular on the nationally syndicated radio show "On Computers with Gina Smith". Despite his out-of-area experience, Mike is an Akron native.   • Ray Horner Ray Horner

    Ray has spent more than the past ten years as the morning show host on 1590 WAKR; he's also a strong voice for community discourse and programming in Akron. Ray is a two-time Pennsylvania Sportscaster of the Year and came to Akron from a long career on 1490 WMGW-AM in Meadville, Pennsylvania. The University of Dayton alum is no stranger to morning radio, and exercises a love of sports into his broadcast career that includes play-by-play, analysis and sportscasting on a wide range of sports. Ray was also an athlete in high school. He is active in local scholastic sports and civic organizations. Ray and his family live in Wadsworth, Ohio.   • Scott Wynn Scott Wynn

    Scott Wynn is the "Wynn" part of the Wynn and Wilson morning show on WQMX. Scott is a Northeast Ohio native, a 28- year radio veteran and has hosted many great morning shows in markets all over the country. Scott's stops have included Columbus, Ohio; Richmond, Virginia; Jefferson City, Missouri; and Lakeland, Florida. In 1997 Scott, while at WPCV in Lakeland was recognized with then-partner Tom O'Brien as the CMA Broadcast Personality of the Year.   • Tony McGinty Tony McGinty

    Tony McGinty was born in the West Park area of Cleveland. A graduate from Olmsted Falls High School in 2001, he was on the bowling team for 2 years. Tony is married to his high school sweetheart, Angela. They currently live in Elyria with our two dogs, Sophie & Kali, and two cats, Peanut and Zeus but life with pets is about to change in a big way as Angela and Tony are expecting their first child November 2nd. It's a girl, no name yet. Tony's been in the business for ten years, notably as the morning show producer for the Mantel in the Morning show on WGAR (where he rose to the rank of "Captain Tony"), a year working in Portland, Maine as the morning show producer/co-host on WTHT and as the evening guy on WHXR. He's a self-confessed "geek, sports obsessed, TV watcher, mountain dew drinker, sarcastic and cynical" guy.
