George Michael needs life flight!
George Michael was airlifted to a hospital yesterday after reportedly sustaining a head injury in a single-car accident in England
According to the singer's rep, Michael was a passenger in a Range Rover that crashed on the M1 motorway (a huge freeway) at around 5:50 PM local time.
The rep says no vehicles were involved in the crash. It's unclear exactly what caused the collision.
A rep for the emergency response crew released a statement saying, "[George] sustained a head injury and following treatment, stabilisation and immobilization by land and air ambulance crews, he was flown to the hospital for further care."
Michael's spokesperson says the singer only suffered "superficial cuts" -- and was doing just fine.
So far, the driver of the Range Rover has not been identified. More here.
The Rolling Stones weren't FORCED to drastically lower ticket prices for their current concert tour due to slow sales, they CHOSE to bring the cost down ... this according to guitarist Ronnie Wood.
The story has been everywhere -- more than 1,000 seats for a recent Stones show were slashed to $85 at the last minute ... and according to reports, it was all because the concert was drastically undersold.
But on the way out of Fred Segal in L.A. yesterday, Wood insisted the move wasn't motivated by $$$ -- instead, Wood says, the band just simply "wanted" to do it ... for the fans.

Sleeping Green...or Blue
Travelodge wanted to know how we sleep, specifically what colors the walls are and who does that affect our sleep. What they found was that people who paint their bedroom grey, brown or purple are least likely to get a full night's sleep. I thought it was best to be in the dark. Guess not. Get the story here.
Guys That Fail
How can you spot a loser? One of the 7 in this list is the Mamma's Boy. He loves her, defers to her, consults her about everything, and you will never live up to her. Or he hates her, constantly complains about her, and expects you to be the complete opposite of her. Either way, there isn’t enough room in a relationship for you, him, and the giant Shadow Of His Mother. More here.

Super simple secrets for healthy, young skin.
1. They can tell which way you sleep. Sleeping on your side or stomach creates a furrow on one side of your face. To minimize wrinkles, sleep on your back.
2. If you hit the pillow every night without washing your face, every single thing you came into contact with that day is on your skin.
3. If it makes your skin feel 'squeaky clean,' it's stripping out all the moisture -- which is not a good thing.
4. Women that are losing their hair can use men's Rogain 5% minoxidil formula.
5. Store brand antiaging creams have the same active ingredients and are just as effective as the brand named stuff that costs four to 10 times as much.

Hey Facebook!
You know that annoying habit where someone keeps whipping out their phone to photograph the food they're eating? It might not just be an incessant need to brag about their burrata-heirloom tomato salad. It might be an actual disease. Researcher Valerie Taylor spoke at the Canadian Obesity Summit this week and noted that, nowadays, she's finding plenty of patients who are fetishizing food, where it overtakes human interaction. Taylor said, "For some people who have the predisposition for weight behaviors, it just goes that one step further, and they start to develop unhealthy weight disorders and they start to have weight problems."

The city of Chattanooga is not happy that it's depicted in Iron Man 3 as having poor Internet service. The Tennessee town issued a statement, which says: "In 2010, Chattanooga surprised America becoming the first American city to have a community-wide 'Gig' fiber network offering up to 1-gigabit-per-second Internet and broadband service, with its network covering the entire 600-square-mile area and every 150,000-plus homes."
... In the movie, Iron Man seems desperate to escape Chattanooga in order to get better Wi-Fi. The also said Sir Ben was a villain in the movie. Yeah, for about 35 seconds.

Clevelander Charles Ramsey is da MAN! This accidental hero stepped in and helped Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle King finally break free from the horror of a decade-long kidnapping. And McDonald’s has latched on to the story after hearing Charles' version of events. As he explained it, he stepped into action after hearing Berry while enjoying a meal from Micky-D's. McDonald’s, sensing an opportunity to capitalize further on the story, sent a tweet to Ramsey:

The tweet came from McDonald’s corporate account, not the restaurant account. The corporate office is where decisions like advertising and marketing are made. It sounds like Charles is going to have a spokesperson job coming to him. Or maybe McDonald's for life. My thoughts: leave a tender moment alone.

This title song from the Eagles' album was released as a single in February 1977. It is one of the best-known songs of the album-oriented rock era. Writing credits for the song are shared by Don Felder, Don Henley, and Glenn Frey. The Eagles' original recording of the song features Henley singing the lead vocals and concludes with an extended section of electric guitar interplay between Felder and Joe Walsh. The song has been given several interpretations by fans and critics alike, but the Eagles have described it as their "interpretation of the high life in Los Angeles". It went #1 on this date in 1977

Where did All That Money Go?
Money Myths that cost us plenty!
Myth #1: Renting is like throwing away money. This one comes from two angles: The fact that you can deduct the mortgage interest on your taxes, and the idea that homes always go up in value. In reality, the deduction offsets just a fraction of the amount you pay in interest each year and, real estate is like any other investment - it can go up or down.
Myth #2: It takes money to make money. The days when you needed a pile of cash to invest are long gone. Some savings accounts can be opened with just a dollar and you can buy as little as one share of stock at some online brokerage firms.
Myth #3: Carrying a balance on credit cards improves your credit rating. This is just plain false. In fact, the only thing it does is take money out of your pocket and give it to the credit card companies. If you want to improve your credit score, pay off your balance in full and on time every month.
One Day Old and Growing
It’s hard to imagine a world without Facebook, Twitter, YouTube videos and email. But it really wasn’t THAT many years ago that if we were to talk about tweeting something, people would look at us like we’re insane. As we can see, there’s a first time for everything.
The first email was sent by Ray Tomlinson to himself in 1971. He said, "The test messages were entirely forgettable. Most likely the first message was QWERTYIOP or something similar."
The first domain name ever registered was Symbolics.com on March 15, 1985. Keep in mind, there was no Internet to speak of in 1985; so who visited this site is a mystery.
The first website was dedicated to information about the World Wide Web and went live on August 6, 1991. It was basically an information site about the Internet.
The first picture ever uploaded on the web was posted by Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, on behalf of a comedy band called Les Horrible Cernettes. Four women gawking at the camera. Some things never change.
The first AOL Instant Message was sent by Ted Leonsis to his wife on January 6, 1993. It read, "Don't be scared ... it is me. Love you and miss you." His wife replied, "Wow ... this is so cool!"
Joe McCambley ran the first banner ad ever online. It went live in October 1994 on HotWired.com and it promoted 7 art museums, sponsored by AT&T.
The first item sold on eBay (back then it was AuctionWeb) was a broken laser pointer for $14.83 in 1995. The man who bought it told founder Pierre Omidyar he collected broken laser pointers.
The first book purchased on Amazon was Douglas Hofstadter's Fluid Concepts and Creative Analogies: Computer Models of the Fundamental Mechanisms of Thought in 1995. A new copy sold for $19.19; or you could get a used copy for $10.15.
The first sentence uttered on Skype was in Estonian in April 2003 by a member of the development team. It was 'Tere, kas sa kuuled mind?' or "Hello, can you hear me?" in English.
Mark Zuckerberg was the first person on Facebook with ID number 4. (The first three Facebook accounts were used for testing.) The first non-founder to join Facebook was Arie Hasit, who is now in Israel studying to be a rabbi.
The first YouTube video posted was posted by co-founder Jawed Karim at the San Diego Zoo. It was uploaded on April 23, 2005 and has been watched nearly 10 million times.
The first tweet was written by co-founder Jack Dorsey on March 21, 2006. The line read: Just setting up my twttr.
