Ice Cream Truck Robbed At Stoplight

A man who stopped an ice cream truck in North Hill last/Thursday night left not with ice cream, but with cash.

Akron police say it happened when the ice cream truck was stopped at a traffic light at East Tallmadge Avenue and Dayton Street.

The driver says a man approached the truck asking if she was selling ice cream...the answer was no.

His answer was to go around the truck, pull out a silver handgun and demand the money in the truck. He fled after the driver handed him the money box.

Police are looking for a man in his 20's who was wearing a T-shirt and a blue Cleveland Indians ballcap.
