Copley’s softball team wanted its 6-5 Suburban League win over Highland and it wanted it bad as it looked to stay afloat at the top of the conference standings Monday. While the contest wasn’t exactly sink or swim, a loss to the Hornets (12-9, 7-5) could have put a serious hook in the plan for the Indians (12-4, 10-2) to repeat as league champs.
