UNIONTOWN, Ohio – Despite only scoring 10 points in the first half, the Field Falcons were not going to give up. A second-half rally ended when sophomore Tiffany Spaller hit a field goal with eight seconds left to give Field a 41-40 girls basketball victory over Canal Fulton Northwest in the Uniontown Division II Sectional on Saturday at Lake High School. Northwest (6-15) jumped on the Falcons early with a 19-8 first quarter and led by 15 going into halftime. Field (12-9) rallied in the third quarter and trimmed the Indians’ lead to six, as junior Morgan Peachey went 5-of-8 from the free-throw line, and senior Helena Spalding hit a 3-pointer to close the quarter.
