Summit Point Senior Living Community Fourth of July Fireworks Display Summit Point Senior Living
On Thursday, July 2, Summit Point Senior Living (9633 Valley View Road in Macedonia, next to the Municipal City Center), will hold a complimentary Fourth of July Fireworks display open to the public.  The festivities will take place from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm.  The event is free.  Free refreshments will be served.  Rain date for the fireworks display is Friday, June 3,  from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

Light Up the Lakes Dietz's Landing
Light Up the Lakes will be held July 4 from 10 a.m.-midnight.  The event, in conjunction with Dietzs Landing (401 W. 34th Annual Boat Parade and Castle Building Contest Keiffer Marine and State Park Beach
The 34th Annual Boat Parade is set for July 5 at 1 pm.  The open-themed event forms at Kieffer Marine (252 Portage Lake Dr. in Coventry) formerly Leightons Boat House on the East Reservoir.  Registration forms will be available at Kieffers Marine.  After the boat parade, a sand castle building contest will be held on the State Park Beach.  For more information call (330) 644-2220.

Anna Dean Farm Centennial Presentation Anna Dean Farm Barn No. 1, Barberton

The Barberton Historical Society will host a brand new slide presentation on the construction of O.C. 6th Annual Grapes on the Lake Williams On The Lake, Medina

The 6th Annual Grapes on the Lake will be held Thursday, July 9, 6pm-9pm at Williams on the Lake (787 Lafayette Road) in Medina.  Sponsored by Lodi Community Hospital Development Committe, this food and wine tasting event will feature 100 different wines from around the world, food tasting from area restaurants, a silent auction and music.  Proceeds will help to purchase new digital mammography equipment at Lodi Commuity Hospital.  For more information, call 330-948-5518.

Headwaters Adventure Race Headwaters Trail
The Portage Park District is partnering with Advanced Rehab of Mantua, Camp Hi Canoe Livery, the Village of Mantua and others to host the Headwaters Adventure Race on Saturday, July 11 at 8am.  Race participants will run two miles on the Headwaters Trail, bike ten miles along beautiful rural roads to Camp Hi Livery, and then canoe or kayak back to Buchert Park in Mantua on the Upper Cuyahoga State Scenic River.  Teams of two may split the run/bike portion, then canoe together, or, a single adventurer may run, bike and kayak.  Fees are $40 per person, and includes t-shirt, canoe rental and after race refreshments.  Fitness Walkers will walk two miles on the Headwaters Trail from Buchert Park, fees are $15.00 per person and includes a t-shirt.  This special event will raise funds to enable the Park District to expand its volunteer program as well as make improvements to its trails around the county.  Details are posted on the Park District website www.portageparkdistrict.org.  To volunteer to help out on Race Day or become a sponsor for the event please contact Susan Blair at the Park District office 128 North Prospect Street, 330-297-7728 or sblair@portageparkdistrict.org.

Hudson Wine Festival Village Way in the First and Main Shopping District
